Rising boy group TWS is rapidly expanding its global footprint as TWS NO TRAGEDY Oricon sales achievements signal a powerful breakthrough in Japan.

According to Japan’s Oricon chart released on May 5 (dated May 4), TWS’s fifth mini album “NO TRAGEDY” sold approximately 198,000 copies on its first day of release in Japan, debuting at No. 1 on the Daily Album Ranking.

This figure marks an approximately 60% increase compared to the group’s previous release, “play hard,” which recorded around 125,000 first-day sales in Japan. The sharp rise highlights TWS’s accelerating growth and expanding fanbase in the region.

Beyond physical sales, “NO TRAGEDY” has also dominated digital platforms. The album quickly reached No. 1 on iTunes Japan’s album chart and topped Apple Music’s K-pop download album chart. Meanwhile, its title track “You, You” maintained top positions on Spotify Japan’s Viral Chart for three consecutive days (May 1–3).

Million-Seller Milestone Marks Career Turning Point

The album has also achieved a major milestone in Korea, becoming TWS’s first million-seller. It recorded over 830,000 copies sold on its release day (April 27), surpassing the cumulative sales of their previous works.

Within just four days, the album exceeded 1 million copies, officially entering million-seller status. Its first-week sales reached 1,112,770 copies, signaling a defining moment in the group’s career trajectory.

The music video for “You, You,” which captures TWS’s signature refreshing romance with a vibrant atmosphere, ranked No. 4 on YouTube Korea’s daily trending music video chart (April 28) and surpassed 20 million views within six days.

The track’s catchy chorus, particularly the “Dda-rum” hook, has also sparked a viral dance challenge. The choreography—expressing the desire to follow someone you like through rhythmic steps—has inspired creative variations, including mimic-style versions that replicate others’ movements.

The challenge audio climbed to No. 2 on Instagram Reels’ trending audio chart and continues to maintain strong popularity, further boosting the song’s visibility.
