&TEAM has secured the top spot on Japan’s Oricon chart with its latest release, continuing a strong upward trajectory in both Japan and Korea.
According to the latest chart released by Oricon on April 22, &TEAM’s third Japanese mini album We on Fire ranked No.1 on the Daily Album Ranking. The achievement marks a strong opening for the group’s new project and reinforces its growing presence in the Japanese market.
Million-selling momentum continues
The album had already signaled its commercial strength prior to the Oricon result. On April 21, it reached No.1 on the daily album chart of Hanteo Chart, reflecting strong demand from fans immediately upon release.
Notably, We on Fire surpassed 1 million copies in first-day sales, setting a milestone as &TEAM’s third consecutive million-selling release. The achievement underscores the group’s consistent growth and solidifies its status among the top-performing acts in the current K-pop landscape.
The group’s previous release, the Korean mini album Back to Life, recorded initial sales of 1,222,022 copies during its first week, according to Hanteo Chart data. It also ranked No.10 on the 2025 annual chart of Circle Chart, with cumulative shipments reaching 1,331,733 units.
With We on Fire already demonstrating comparable momentum across major charts in both countries, industry observers are closely watching how its performance will evolve in the coming weeks.
Expanding sound and concept
The new album captures &TEAM’s continued artistic development, reflecting a narrative of growth built on stronger bonds among members. The project showcases a broader musical spectrum while maintaining the group’s signature energy.
The title track We on Fire leads the album with a powerful concept, supported by tracks such as Bewitched, which features a striking rock-driven sound, and HOTLINE, characterized by its upbeat and addictive melody.
The album also includes the spring-themed ballad Sakura-iro Yell, along with Korean versions of “We on Fire” and “Bewitched,” bringing the total track count to six. The inclusion of multilingual versions highlights the group’s dual-market strategy and expanding global reach.

As &TEAM continues to build on its cross-market success, the strong debut of We on Fire signals sustained momentum and growing influence in both the Japanese and Korean music industries.
