IVE member Jang Wonyoung once again proved her unmatched influence in K-pop after taking first place in the May 2026 girl group individual brand reputation rankings.
Indexes Highlight Consumer Interest and Online Impact
On May 17, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed more than 97 million pieces of big data related to 730 girl group members between April 17 and May 17, 2026. The institute calculated the rankings by using participation, media, communication, and community indexes to measure consumer interest and online impact.
Jang Wonyoung secured the No. 1 spot with a total brand reputation index of 6,715,647. Although her score slightly decreased by 7.06% compared to April, she maintained a commanding lead over other top idols.
Jennie of BLACKPINK ranked second with a brand reputation index of 4,745,164, while Karina came in third with 4,487,074 points. Fellow IVE member An Yujin ranked fourth, followed by Lisa in fifth place.
Other stars included in the Top 30 were aespa’s Winter and Ningning, TWICE’s Jeongyeon and Jihyo, LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon, Red Velvet’s Joy and Irene, ITZY’s Yuna, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, and ILLIT members Wonhee and Moka.
The brand reputation index is widely used in Korea to measure the public influence and online buzz surrounding celebrities and public figures. This month’s analysis showed a 6.89% decrease in total big data volume compared to April.

Jang Wonyoung’s continued dominance comes amid IVE’s successful second world tour “SHOW WHAT I AM.” It has drawn massive global attention. The group plans to expand its activities in Japan with the release of its fourth Japanese album, “LUCID DREAM,” on May 27.
Since debuting with IVE in 2021, Jang Wonyoung has become one of the most recognizable fourth-generation K-pop stars thanks to her luxury brand partnerships, viral stage presence, and strong influence in fashion and beauty trends. Beyond music, she has established herself as a leading MZ generation icon in Korea and overseas.
