KATSEYE’s Sophia to Miss Entire Europe and UK Leg of WILDWORLD Tour
KATSEYE will begin the European leg of its WILDWORLD Tour without Sophia Laforteza, after the group’s management confirmed that the singer will sit out all scheduled shows in Europe and the United Kingdom.
HYBE x Geffen Records announced that Sophia will not participate in tour dates running from September 1 through September 17 as she continues to focus on her health and well-being.
The announcement comes just as KATSEYE begins its European schedule in Dublin on September 1, making Sophia’s absence a significant change to one of the group’s biggest international touring runs.
Sophia Continues Hiatus
In an official notice released through Weverse, the company said Sophia is focusing on her well-being and that it remains committed to providing the support and resources she needs.
Management also emphasized that the long-term health and well-being of its artists remains its highest priority and asked EYEKONS, KATSEYE’s fandom, for understanding.
Sophia has been on hiatus while receiving ongoing treatment and previously addressed her situation personally, explaining that she needed time to recover before returning to full activities.
Her absence means KATSEYE will have to adjust its performances during a crucial international stretch of the WILDWORLD Tour.
The European and UK itinerary includes major cities such as Dublin, London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp and Copenhagen.
Difficult Timing for KATSEYE
Sophia’s absence comes during an already challenging period for the group.
Fellow member Megan Skiendiel recently suffered an ankle injury during tour rehearsals, forcing KATSEYE to withdraw from a scheduled appearance at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival in Los Angeles.
Megan was advised to rest following the injury as the group prepared for its international tour.
The back-to-back developments have increased attention on KATSEYE’s touring lineup as the group enters one of the most important periods of its global expansion.
Despite the setbacks, the WILDWORLD Tour is moving forward.

KATSEYE’s Global Momentum
The tour comes as KATSEYE continues to strengthen its position as one of the most internationally visible girl groups.
Created through HYBE and Geffen Records’ global project, KATSEYE was designed from the beginning to target audiences beyond the traditional K-pop market.
Sophia is Filipino-American. She has developed a particularly strong following in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia. She is becoming one of the group’s most recognizable members.
Her absence from the European tour is therefore likely to attract considerable attention from the group’s international fandom.
No date has been announced for Sophia’s full return to group activities.
For now, the company has made clear that her recovery remains the priority as KATSEYE continues its WILDWORLD Tour schedule.
