LE SSERAFIM is rapidly building anticipation for its upcoming full-length album after unveiling the first music video teaser for its new title track BOOMPALA.
On May 20, the group released the official teaser for BOOMPALA, the title song from its second studio album PUREFLOW pt.1. The cinematic preview immediately captured global fans’ attention with its surreal desert imagery, nostalgic musical references, and mysterious atmosphere.
The teaser opens across a vast desert landscape as the iconic melody of the global hit Macarena begins to play. Moments later, the sound of a camel echoes through the scene before giant statues symbolizing the members of LE SSERAFIM emerge dramatically through the sand.
Additional scenes featuring meditative poses and rhythmic chanting create an almost ritual-like atmosphere, heightening curiosity about the full music video and the album’s overall concept.
According to the group, BOOMPALA carries the message that fear can sometimes become nothing more than an illusion depending on one’s perspective and attitude. By sampling the universally recognizable Macarena, LE SSERAFIM blends familiarity with its own modern and trend-driven sound, creating a festive energy designed to resonate across generations and cultures.
Fans had already reacted strongly to snippets of the song’s addictive chant-like chorus released earlier, but the new teaser offered the first substantial preview of the sampled melody integrated into the track’s production.
