Former ARIAZ member Hyogyeong has clarified that her recent remarks about alleged “sugar daddy” relationships in the K-pop industry are not related to her former agency.

Through a recent video on her YouTube channel “HYOKEY,” Hyogyeong stated, “My former agency’s CEO was not involved in such matters,” firmly drawing a line between her claims and her past management.

She added that she recently spoke with the former CEO, explaining the situation and offering a brief apology regarding the misunderstanding caused by her video.

Previously, Hyogyeong sparked controversy after alleging that a member from a company she once belonged to had been in a relationship with an older CEO. She claimed that despite lacking standout skills, the member consistently received the most parts and center positions.

Following her comments, online speculation quickly spread, with some users assuming she was referring to her former agency.

Hyogyeong first gained public attention through JTBC’s audition program “Mix Nine” in 2017 and later debuted in 2019 as part of the six-member girl group ARIAZ. After the group disbanded in 2022, she has since transitioned into a career as a YouTuber and vocal coach.
