‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Singer EJ Set for FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony
Singer EJ, best known for performing the theme song of Netflix’s hit animated film “KPop Demon Hunters,” is heading to one of the world’s biggest stages.
On June 10 (local time), FIFA announced that EJ and legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform “DNA,” the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, during the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City.

The highly anticipated performance will take place on June 11 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City ahead of the opening match of the tournament.
EJ, Andrea Bocelli, DJ David Guetta, and rapper Megan Thee Stallion join forces to perform “DNA,” the newly unveiled official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
EJ reportedly wrote the Korean-language lyrics herself, and the song draws attention for both her contribution and the star-studded collaboration.

Speaking through FIFA, EJ shared her excitement about participating in the historic event.
“I’m thrilled to be singing the World Cup anthem,” she said. “It is an incredible honor to represent South Korea on this stage.”
