Japanese Bands muque and Dannie May Set First Solo Concerts in Korea

Rising Japanese bands muque and Dannie May are officially heading to Korea this summer for their first-ever solo concerts in Seoul.

The two acts, both gaining momentum through streaming platforms and social media buzz across Asia, are expected to further strengthen their growing Korean fanbases through the upcoming performances.

Fukuoka-based three-member band muque has rapidly emerged as one of Japan’s most talked-about young bands, particularly among Gen Z and MZ listeners.

The group gained significant mainstream recognition in 2025 after performing The 1, the 21st ending theme song for the globally popular anime One Piece. Their appearance at the Busan International Rock Festival later that year also introduced Korean audiences to the band’s distinctive sound and energetic stage presence.

muque will now return to Korea for its first standalone concert on July 11 at YES24 Wonderloch Hall in Seoul.

The concert title, GLHF — short for “Good Luck, Have Fun” — also serves as the title of the band’s upcoming second full-length album, marking their first studio album release in approximately a year and a half.

Fans are expecting the concert to showcase a new musical chapter for the group, highlighting both its evolving artistic direction and emotionally charged live energy.

Following muque’s concert, three-member vocal band Dannie May will hold its first solo Korea performance on August 21 at KT&G Sangsangmadang Live Hall in Hongdae.

Formed in 2019, Dannie May has attracted attention for its unique vocal distribution, layered harmonies, and genre-blending sound that seamlessly combines rock, pop, R&B, and dance music.

The band is also known for its hands-on creative involvement, with members participating directly in songwriting, composition, arrangement, and concept planning.

Dannie May’s growing popularity in Korea accelerated after its song Incomplete Marriage Theory topped Spotify Korea’s Viral Chart. The group has also continued expanding its presence in Japan, entering local viral charts and YouTube trending music rankings.

Concert organizers MPMG and The Vault stated that the performances are expected to create “special moments” between the bands and Korean fans, especially as both groups continue gaining international attention through streaming services and online platforms.

Tickets for muque’s Seoul concert are currently available through YES24 Ticket, while reservations for Dannie May’s performance will open via NOL Ticket beginning next month.
