Stray Kids Hits 20th 100 Million-View Milestone With ‘Walkin On Water’ MV

Stray Kids has once again proven its explosive global popularity after achieving another major YouTube milestone with Walkin On Water.

According to JYP Entertainment on May 20, the music video for Walkin On Water officially surpassed 100 million views on YouTube the previous day. The track was originally released on December 13, 2024, as the title song of the album SKZHOP HIPTAPE : 合 (HOP).

With the achievement, Stray Kids now holds a total of 20 music videos with over 100 million views, extending its own record as the fourth-generation K-pop boy group with the most videos to reach the milestone.

The accomplishment further solidifies the group’s status as one of K-pop’s leading global acts, especially amid its continued dominance on international charts and major music festivals.

Walkin On Water served as the centerpiece of SKZHOP HIPTAPE : 合 (HOP), an album that also marked Stray Kids’ sixth consecutive No. 1 entry on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States — an achievement that placed the group among the industry’s most powerful global artists.

The song itself compares the group’s confidence on stage to walking across rough waves without fear, symbolizing resilience, ambition, and control even in chaotic situations. Its intense energy and bold message resonated strongly with fans worldwide.

The music video drew praise for its cinematic scale, blending futuristic and historical-inspired settings with massive performance sequences and dynamic choreography. The visual production, combined with Stray Kids’ aggressive stage presence, helped the video gain strong replay value among global viewers.

Since debuting in 2018 under JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids has become known for its self-produced music, genre-blending sound, and high-intensity performances. Members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N have steadily expanded the group’s international influence through both chart success and world tours.

The group’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

Stray Kids will headline two of the world’s biggest music festivals later this year — The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York on June 6 and Brazil’s legendary Rock in Rio on September 11. These appearances will further strengthen the group’s global reputation as a stadium‑level performance act.

With Walkin On Water continuing to break records months after release, Stray Kids once again demonstrates why it remains one of the defining forces of fourth-generation K-pop.
