Health concerns surrounding TWICE have resurfaced after member Momo revealed she underwent a tooth extraction during the group’s ongoing world tour.
According to fan communications shared on April 12, Momo explained that she experienced severe tooth pain while in Chicago, prompting an unexpected visit to a local dentist. She said that although the condition typically would not have required extraction, circumstances forced a more immediate decision.
“I went to a dentist in Chicago in the morning, but they said proper treatment would need to be done in Korea,” she shared. With the group’s tight tour schedule making travel back to Korea unfeasible, Momo ultimately opted for extraction, adding that the pain was too intense to manage even with medication while continuing to perform.
She also asked fans for understanding regarding visible swelling during the performance.
Injury concerns resurface during large-scale tour
The disclosure has reignited debate among fans regarding the intensity of TWICE’s current tour schedule. The group is in the midst of its largest tour to date, “THIS IS FOR,” which includes 78 shows across 43 cities worldwide.
Some fans have questioned whether the demanding itinerary contributed to the situation, particularly given Momo’s statement that the procedure might have been avoidable under different circumstances.
