Jungkook of BTS has once again proven his unmatched global influence, topping the list of most searched male group idols on YouTube Korea in 2026.
According to global chart-tracking sources such as About Music and Pop Planet, Jungkook ranked No.1 in YouTube search popularity among male idols in Korea this year. The achievement continues a strong multi-year trend, following his No.1 ranking in 2024 and No.2 position in 2025.
Global dominance across platforms
Jungkook’s search power extends far beyond Korea. He previously ranked No.1 for two consecutive years (2024–2025) as the most searched K-pop male idol group member on YouTube in the United States. In Japan, he has maintained the No.1 position for a decade, highlighting his long-term popularity in one of K-pop’s key markets.
On a global scale, Jungkook has held the title of the most searched K-pop idol on YouTube for five consecutive years—an indicator of his sustained worldwide relevance.
His online presence is also reflected in broader cultural metrics. Based on YouTube mentions last year, Jungkook ranked third globally with 4.6 million mentions, following football icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Strong presence even during military service
Notably, Jungkook maintained his digital dominance even during his military service period. He ranked No.1 in YouTube mentions among global solo artists last year, demonstrating his continued relevance despite reduced public activity.
Beyond YouTube, his impact spans multiple platforms. Jungkook has topped Google search rankings for K-pop idols for five consecutive years and also ranked No.1 on Tumblr over the same period—showing consistent global demand across different types of online services.

Record-breaking engagement on TikTok and Instagram
Short-form and visual platforms further highlight his influence. On TikTok, Jungkook’s hashtag “#jungkook” surpassed 300 billion views, making him the first solo artist to reach that milestone. He is also the only individual in TikTok history to exceed 40 million posts under a single hashtag.
On Instagram, his recent “Hooligan” challenge video reached 100 million views within just four days. The post also became one of the most shared in platform history, surpassing 2.3 million reposts.
A multi-platform global powerhouse
From YouTube and TikTok to Google, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Instagram, Jungkook continues to dominate across every major digital platform. His consistent top rankings in search volume, mentions, and engagement metrics reinforce his status as one of the most influential global stars in the digital era.
As K-pop’s reach continues to expand, Jungkook’s cross-platform dominance stands as a clear example of how a single artist can shape global online culture.
