Rookie group NCT WISH has unveiled a new music video ahead of its first full-length album release, building anticipation for its upcoming comeback.
At midnight on April 13 (KST), the group released the music video for “Sticky” through the SMTOWN YouTube channel, drawing immediate attention from fans. The track is part of their first studio album, Ode to Love, scheduled for release later this month.
‘Sticky’ introduces album mood with playful concept
“Sticky” is a hip-hop-based dance track that blends a mid-tempo beat with bossa nova-inspired guitar sounds. The song uses the metaphor of “mango sticky rice” to describe a relationship that may appear unconventional but remains tightly connected, delivering its message through rhythmic and repetitive lyrics.
The release offers an early glimpse into the sonic direction of Ode to Love, balancing approachable melodies with stylized production. It also reinforces the group’s concept-driven identity within the broader NCT brand.
Music video and content rollout expand engagement
The accompanying music video is set in a fast-food restaurant, incorporating colorful visuals and playful storytelling. The setting allows the members to showcase both performance elements and individual charm, combining choreography with lighthearted scenes.
The production leans into a “kitsch” aesthetic, aligning with the group’s youthful image while maintaining a cohesive visual tone. Alongside the video, a “WICHU” version of the smart album was also introduced, expanding the scope of the comeback rollout.
Further engagement is planned around the album release. On April 20, the day Ode to Love drops, NCT WISH will host a live broadcast titled “WISH’s ‘Ode to Love’ Housewarming Party LIVE” via their official YouTube channel and TikTok.
The livestream will adopt a concept in which fans—referred to as “Czennies”—are invited into the group’s “home,” with spaces themed around “Eros” and “Anteros.” The members are expected to share behind-the-scenes stories about the album in a relaxed setting.

Full album release set for April 20
Ode to Love will be released at 6 p.m. (KST) on April 20 across major music platforms, following the live broadcast scheduled earlier that day at 4:30 p.m.
The album will feature 10 tracks, including the title song “Ode to Love,” which is expected to highlight the group’s signature blend of refreshing rhythms and emotive melodies.
As NCT WISH continues its rollout with pre-release content, live engagement, and a full album launch, attention is focused on how the group will further define its musical identity within the competitive K-pop landscape.
