KATSEYE is continuing its rapid global rise as the KATSEYE American Music Awards performance was officially confirmed by HYBE and Geffen Records on May 9.

The group will perform at the 52nd American Music Awards, one of the three biggest music award ceremonies in the United States alongside the Grammy Awards and Billboard Music Awards.

This year’s ceremony will take place on May 25 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will air live through CBS and Paramount+.

KATSEYE Joins Star-Studded Performer Lineup

As one of America’s most-watched music events, the AMAs gathers many of the year’s biggest artists and songs, drawing attention from global music fans.

KATSEYE joins an impressive lineup that already includes Maluma, Twenty One Pilots, and Keith Urban.

The group is also nominated in three categories:

  • New Artist of the Year
  • Best Music Video
  • Breakthrough Pop Artist

AMA nominations are largely based on measurable data such as streaming performance, album and digital sales, and radio airplay, making them a strong indicator of mainstream popularity in North America.

“PINKY UP” Continues Global Momentum

KATSEYE recently achieved another major milestone when its latest single “PINKY UP” reached No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated April 25.

The song is also maintaining strong momentum in the United Kingdom, ranking No. 47 on the latest Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the May 8–14 tracking week. The track has now remained on the chart for four consecutive weeks after debuting at No. 14.

Meanwhile, KATSEYE’s earlier release “Touch,” originally released in July 2024, re-entered attention by charting at No. 98 this week—showcasing the group’s unusually strong long-term streaming power.

Spotify Numbers Highlight Explosive Growth

KATSEYE’s impact is also growing rapidly on Spotify.

“PINKY UP” ranked No. 69 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart for May 1–7, while 2024 track “Gabriela” extended its streak to 46 consecutive weeks on the chart at No. 112.

The group’s monthly Spotify listeners recently surpassed 33.5 million, while its combined social media following reportedly increased by more than 777,000 followers in roughly one week surrounding the group’s recent Korea schedule.

Industry observers say the numbers demonstrate how quickly KATSEYE’s global fandom continues expanding.

HYBE’s Global K-Pop Strategy Gains Momentum

KATSEYE was formed in the United States in 2024 under HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s “Multi-home, Multi-genre” strategy, which applies K-pop’s training and production system to globally focused artists.

Despite debuting less than two years ago, the group has already appeared at major international festivals including Lollapalooza and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

KATSEYE is currently preparing to release its third EP, “WILD,” in August as the group continues establishing itself as one of the fastest-rising global acts connected to the K-pop industry.
