BTS V’s ‘Into the Sun’ Featured in French President Macron’s G7 Video

BTS member V is once again making headlines on the global stage after his self-written and self-composed track “Into the Sun” was featured in an official video shared by French President Emmanuel Macron during the G7 Summit.

The video, posted on Macron’s official social media accounts on June 16, welcomed world leaders attending the summit in Evian, France. As leaders from G7 member nations and invited countries appeared on screen, carefully selected music accompanied each segment.

When South Korea’s president entered the scene, the soundtrack switched to BTS’s “Into the Sun,” instantly capturing the attention of fans around the world.

A Song Created by V

“Into the Sun” is one of the standout tracks from BTS’s latest album ARIRANG, with V taking the lead in both songwriting and composition.

According to BTS, the song originated from a melody that came to V while he was heading home after exercising. Although he was proud of the track, V reportedly questioned whether it fit the album’s overall concept.

“I thought I needed to judge objectively whether the song matched the album, even though I wrote it myself,” V previously shared.

The song ultimately made the final tracklist after receiving strong support from fellow BTS members.

  • The BBC highlighted its experimental approach and mysterious atmosphere.

The track has since become one of the most celebrated songs on the album among both critics and fans.

Fan-Favorite Status Continues to Grow

Beyond critical acclaim, “Into the Sun” has become a fan favorite during BTS’s ongoing ARIRANG World Tour.

V’s performance and choreography for the song have sparked numerous social media trends and dance challenges, while fan-captured videos continue to generate millions of views online.

The track also ranked first in several fan polls asking listeners to choose their favorite song from the album, further cementing its popularity.

BTS Music Reaches the Global Political Stage

The inclusion of “Into the Sun” in a G7-related video demonstrates BTS’s continuing influence beyond music and entertainment.

The G7 Summit is one of the world’s most significant international gatherings, bringing together leaders to discuss global issues including economic policy, security, and diplomacy.

For BTS and V, having a self-composed song featured in an official welcome video shared by the French president represents another milestone in the group’s remarkable global reach.
