NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang Reveals He’s a Fan of Hwasa
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang surprised Korean fans by revealing his admiration for singer Hwasa during an upcoming appearance on the popular tvN variety show “You Quiz on the Block.”
A preview clip released on June 7 showed Huang discussing his music preferences and sharing his thoughts on K-pop with host Yoo Jae-suk.
“Hwasa Is Extremely Charismatic”
When asked whether he listens to K-pop while working, Huang responded enthusiastically.
“I don’t think there’s anyone who doesn’t like ‘Golden’,” he said, referring to the hit soundtrack from K-Pop Demon Hunters. “It’s truly an excellent album.”
The NVIDIA chief then singled out Hwasa for special praise.
“I absolutely love Hwasa’s music,” Huang said. “She is incredibly charismatic.”
He specifically mentioned both “Good Goodbye,” released in October last year, and “So Cute,” Hwasa’s latest single released in April.
Jensen Huang Praises Hwasa’s Talent
Huang went on to compliment the singer’s artistic abilities beyond her music catalog.
“She has outstanding vocal ability,” he said. “Hwasa is also an exceptionally talented dancer.”
His comments immediately drew laughter from Yoo Jae-suk, who joked, “Hwasa’s ‘So Cute’ is going to rise on the charts again. Hwasa must be very happy.”
The unexpected endorsement from one of the world’s most influential technology executives quickly became a talking point among fans online.
Another Teaser Sparks Curiosity
The show also released a separate teaser featuring Huang being asked which Korean business leader he is closest to among Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Chung Euisun, and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won.
Huang responded with a smile, saying, “That’s easy,” though the preview did not reveal his answer.
Jensen Huang’s Korea Visit Draws Attention
Huang recorded the episode on June 6 during the second day of his visit to South Korea.
His appearance has attracted significant interest, not only because of NVIDIA’s growing influence in the global AI industry, but also because of his candid comments on Korean culture, entertainment, and business.
The full episode of “You Quiz on the Block” featuring Jensen Huang is scheduled to air on June 10.
