CORTIS Apologizes After Flight Delay, Denies Boarding Bridge Allegations

Rookie K-pop group CORTIS has apologized after arriving late for a flight from Paris to Seoul, reportedly causing a departure delay. However, the group’s agency has firmly denied separate allegations that members changed clothes on the airport boarding bridge while other passengers were waiting.

The incident has sparked discussion online after passengers shared their experiences on social media following the June 26 flight.

Agency Apologizes for Flight Delay

In an official statement released on June 30, BIGHIT MUSIC acknowledged that CORTIS boarded the Paris-to-Incheon flight later than scheduled.

According to the agency, unexpected traffic congestion caused by a road accident delayed the group’s arrival at the airport.

“We sincerely apologize to the passengers who experienced inconvenience while traveling on the same flight,” the company said.

The apology came after an online post claimed that CORTIS boarded the aircraft approximately five minutes after the scheduled departure time, resulting in a delay of more than 30 minutes before takeoff.

Although the agency accepted responsibility for the late boarding, it attributed the situation to circumstances beyond the artists’ control.

Agency Denies Boarding Bridge Rumors

Separate allegations also circulated across online communities claiming that CORTIS blocked other passengers while changing clothes inside the boarding bridge—the enclosed passage connecting the airport terminal to the aircraft.

BIGHIT MUSIC strongly rejected those claims.

“The allegation that the members changed clothes on the boarding bridge is simply not true,” the agency stated.

No further details were provided regarding how the rumor originated.

The clarification appears aimed at addressing growing speculation that spread rapidly across Korean online forums following reports of the delayed departure.

While the flight delay itself has been acknowledged and apologized for, the agency emphasized that the more sensational allegations surrounding the boarding process are false.

The incident highlights how travel-related issues involving K-pop artists can quickly become the subject of widespread online discussion, particularly when they affect other passengers.
