NewJeans member Minji is drawing intense attention as Minji NewJeans comeback hint speculation grows following her latest heartfelt yet cryptic update.

On May 5, Minji reportedly made a surprise visit to a birthday café prepared by fans ahead of her birthday on May 7. According to accounts shared by attendees, she left behind a thoughtful gift bag containing a handwritten letter, photo booth pictures, and homemade cookies—gestures that quickly spread across fan communities.

In her handwritten note, Minji expressed deep affection for fans, known as Bunnies. She wrote, “It’s been a long time. If you’re Bunnies, I believe you’ve been doing well and staying strong. There have been many things, and I have a lot I want to say, but I’m sure the opportunity will come. Please stay healthy and happy.”

Her message struck an emotional chord, as it subtly acknowledged the group’s recent challenges while offering hope for future communication.

“Hanni Hint” Ignites Reunion Talk

What particularly caught fans’ attention was a line mentioning that an “H helper” assisted with making the cookies. Minji stylized the Korean consonant “ㅎ” as “H” and even included a drawing of a cow—widely recognized as a symbolic reference to fellow member Hanni.

Fans quickly interpreted this as an indirect hint that Hanni had been involved, suggesting the two may still be in contact. The detail has since fueled speculation about a possible reconciliation and Minji’s eventual return to group activities.

NewJeans has faced ongoing turbulence since November 2024, when the members announced contract termination, citing alleged breaches by ADOR. However, a court later ruled in favor of ADOR, affirming the validity of the exclusive contracts.

Following the ruling, members Haerin and Hyein returned to ADOR, with Hanni also rejoining the agency. Minji, however, has continued discussions regarding her return for over six months, leaving her status unresolved.

Meanwhile, Danielle is currently no longer under contract with ADOR. The agency has filed a large-scale damages lawsuit reportedly worth tens of billions of won against Danielle, a family member, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.

Comeback Signals Begin to Emerge

Despite the uncertainty, signs of a potential comeback have begun to surface. ADOR recently reserved a recording studio for several days in mid-April and confirmed that activities such as overseas visits were part of pre-production for new music.

The agency stated that the members are preparing schedules tailored to their individual conditions, adding that official updates on future plans will be announced at the most appropriate time.

As speculation intensifies, Minji’s latest “hint” has become a focal point for fans—raising cautious optimism that a full NewJeans reunion may still be within reach.
