TWS is back with a fresh take on love, embracing a bold “straightforward romance” concept in their latest comeback.
On April 27, TWS—comprised of Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin—held a media showcase in Seoul to celebrate the release of their fifth mini album, NO TRAGEDY.
A twist on classic romance
NO TRAGEDY draws inspiration from William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, reinterpreting the famous phrase “star-cross’d lovers” into “star-crushing lovers.” Rather than a tragic fate, the album delivers a message of actively pursuing love.
“We wanted to keep TWS’s signature charm while showing something new,” members Jihoon and Youngjae explained. “This album highlights a more proactive side of us—taking control of love and expressing it honestly.”
Million-seller momentum
Even before its release, NO TRAGEDY surpassed 1.16 million pre-orders, marking a new career high for the group and putting them on track for their first million-selling album.
Shinyu shared his reaction: “We were shocked and grateful when we heard the number. It’s not just a figure—it feels like motivation given to us by our fans.”

Diverse sounds and member participation
The album features six tracks, including the title song “You, You,” along with “I’ll Be All Your Possibilities,” “Back To Strangers,” “Why You So Bad?,” “Fire Escape,” and “Get It Now.”
Musically, the group explores a wide range of genres—from house and higher pop to boom bap—offering a varied listening experience. Several members also participated in songwriting, adding a more personal touch to the project.
Title track highlights bold confession
The title track “You, You” blends R&B sensibilities with a house-based sound, delivering lyrics centered on confidently expressing love.
“It’s a song that really feels like TWS,” Hanjin said. “The melody is catchy, and the chorus is easy to follow, which makes it fun to listen to.”
Jihoon added, “This is the first time we’ve expressed love this directly. We even talked a lot among ourselves about what love really means—and found many answers in our relationship with our fans.”
A new viral challenge in the making
Following the viral success of their previous “Antal Challenge,” TWS is aiming for another hit with the “Ttarum Challenge,” based on the catchy hook in the new title track.
Members described the choreography as expressing the feeling of wanting to follow someone you love, with a more controlled energy compared to their previous performances.

Growing ambitions
Since debut, TWS has steadily gained popularity, attributing their success to “positive energy” and relatability.
“Our strength is being true to who we are at our age,” Kyungmin said. “We often hear that people gain good energy from us, and that means a lot.”
Looking ahead, the group set their sights on even bigger goals. “We want to hold a stadium concert someday and share our music with more fans,” they said. “We hope to become a group that gives everyone a joyful feeling of love.”
With NO TRAGEDY, TWS not only expands their musical range but also takes a confident step forward in defining their identity—one built on sincerity, energy, and fearless expression of love.
