EBS and South Korea’s Ministry of Education are launching a new audio-based study project featuring K-pop idols, with Xdinary Heroes becoming the first artists to participate.

The new content series, titled Idols Reading CSAT Korean History, officially premieres on May 11 and aims to help students prepare for the Korean history section of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) through idol-led audio learning.

Xdinary Heroes Brings K-Pop Energy to Korean History Study

The Xdinary Heroes edition features Korean history questions drawn from the past five years of CSAT exams, mock tests, and academic assessments. Beyond simply reading the questions aloud, the members also provide explanations of key points and encouraging messages for students, creating a more interactive and engaging study experience.

The project targets teenage learners, reflects modern media consumption habits, and introduces a new ‘study by listening’ format that improves accessibility and immersion.

The Xdinary Heroes segment consists of 10 questions in total. Five questions were released on May 11, while the remaining five will be unveiled on May 18.

Ministry and EBS Target Gen Z Learners With Audio Content

The broader series will feature 10 different artist teams, each presenting 10 questions over a 20-week rollout schedule. The government and EBS release new content every Monday on the Hamkke School Platform website and app, where users can listen for free.

Xdinary Heroes, known for their powerful performances and strong popularity among teenagers, expressed excitement about joining the initiative.

“It’s very meaningful to be able to deliver Korean history, a required CSAT subject, through our voices,” the members shared. They said, “We hope this becomes both a refreshing break and a helpful learning experience for students.”
