Tablo Reveals Daughter Haru Assisted With Film Translation Project

Epik High member Tablo recently shared a heartwarming story about working alongside his daughter Haru on a movie translation project, drawing attention to her impressive language skills and growing academic achievements.

On June 2, Tablo appeared on the YouTube channel Bdns, where Epik High discussed the secret behind the group’s remarkable 24-year career. During the conversation, host Moon Sang-hoon brought up a film that Tablo recently translated, leading to an unexpected story about Haru’s involvement.

The film, Nirvanna the Band, was released in Korea last month and was imported by Moon Sang-hoon, while Tablo handled the Korean translation. According to Tablo, the project became a unique father-daughter collaboration after Haru expressed interest in helping.

“Haru loves movies,” Tablo explained. “Whenever there’s a film we want to watch, we usually go on opening day.”

While working on the translation, Tablo asked Haru for her opinion on how certain lines should be interpreted. Her enthusiasm quickly turned into active participation.

“I told her I would handle one section and she could work on another,” he recalled. “We each went to separate rooms and agreed to meet again in 30 minutes. But she ended up having so much fun with the translation process.”

The story surprised fans, especially given Haru’s reputation for academic excellence. Tablo previously revealed that she has been preparing for SAT and AP examinations as part of her plans for university studies in the United States. Her involvement in the film project further highlighted her advanced English abilities and strong interest in language and storytelling.

Haru first became widely known through the popular family variety show The Return of Superman, where viewers watched her grow up alongside her parents. Now a teenager, she continues to draw attention for both her academic achievements and mature outlook.

Tablo married actress Kang Hye-jung in 2009, and the couple has one daughter, Haru. While the family largely keeps their private life away from the spotlight, stories like this continue to resonate with fans who have followed Haru’s journey for years.

The translation project offered a rare glimpse into the close bond between father and daughter—and showed that Haru may already be developing talents of her own beyond the entertainment world.
