NewJeans member Hyein has launched her first individual activity since returning to ADOR, appearing on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Korea in collaboration with luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta.
The 19-year-old idol is featured in the magazine’s September issue under the theme “In Between,” capturing Hyein at a transitional point between adolescence and adulthood.
For the photoshoot, Hyein appeared with minimal makeup to highlight her natural features. She also showcased Bottega Veneta’s latest looks with a model-like presence, drawing praise from staff on set for the way she adapted to each new styling concept.
Hyein Embraces a New Style
The shoot marks one of Hyein’s first major individual appearances since NewJeans members returned to ADOR.
Reflecting on the experience, Hyein said she was both excited and nervous because it had been a long time since her last magazine shoot.
“I think I was able to show a more grown-up and different side of myself,” Hyein said, adding that she enjoyed experimenting with styles she had never tried before.
She also expressed interest in continuing to explore different fashion concepts if similar opportunities arise in the future.
The photoshoot comes as Hyein enters a new stage of her career. Having debuted with NewJeans at just 14, she has spent much of her teenage years in the global spotlight.
Now 19, Hyein said many aspects of her personality and life have changed over the past four years.

Four Years After NewJeans’ Debut
NewJeans celebrated its fourth debut anniversary on July 22, marking the group’s journey from teenage rookies to one of K-pop’s most internationally recognized acts.
Asked what has changed most since she was 15, Hyein said her personality, habits, interests and priorities have all evolved.
“At times, I feel like everything about me has changed,” she said, while joking that one thing has remained the same: her sense of humor, particularly her reaction to “dad jokes.”
Hyein also had a message for fans who have been wondering how she has been doing.
She encouraged them to find small moments of happiness in their everyday lives and said she hopes they can spend each day surrounded by those simple joys.
Her appearance in Harper’s Bazaar Korea offers fans a glimpse of Hyein’s development both as an artist and as a young woman, while also signaling the beginning of a new chapter in her individual career.
The Hyein and Bottega Veneta cover and accompanying editorial will be featured in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar Korea.
