Legendary K-pop girl group 2NE1 warmed fans’ hearts by reuniting as four members to celebrate their 17th debut anniversary.

On May 17, Sandara Park shared a group photo on her social media with the caption, “Happy 17th Anniversary~!!!” The image featured all four members — CL, Sandara Park, Minzy, and Park Bom — posing together with bright smiles and affectionate chemistry, instantly drawing attention from longtime fans.

Minzy also commemorated the milestone by posting the same photo alongside the message, “Happy 17th Anniversary to us,” highlighting the group’s enduring bond despite recent speculation surrounding the members’ relationship.

The reunion photo became especially meaningful as 2NE1 has recently been promoting in a partial lineup following Park Bom’s temporary hiatus due to health concerns. Earlier this year, rumors of internal conflict spread online after Park Bom uploaded — and later deleted — a post seemingly referencing Sandara Park in relation to a past controversy.

At the time, Sandara Park publicly clarified, “I have never used drugs. I hope she stays healthy,” distancing herself from the issue while expressing concern for her fellow member. Speculation intensified further after some members reportedly unfollowed Park Bom’s social media account and shared photos centered around a three-member lineup.

However, the newly released anniversary photo appears to have reassured fans that the members’ friendship remains intact. By openly celebrating together as four, 2NE1 effectively quieted many of the lingering concerns about discord within the group.

Fans reacted emotionally to the reunion, leaving comments such as “2NE1 is complete only when all four are together,” “This photo healed us,” and “17 years later and their chemistry is still unmatched.”

Debuting on May 17, 2009, 2NE1 became one of the defining girl groups of second-generation K-pop with massive hits including “Fire,” “I Don’t Care,” and “I Am The Best.” The group remains widely respected for helping shape the global rise of K-pop and for pioneering a bold, charismatic image that influenced countless artists who followed.
