Many fans welcomed the more relaxed image, commenting that Nichkhun looked “more human” and “more relatable.” Others jokingly pointed out that “time catches everyone” and even suggested he film diet-related content.
However, the atmosphere completely shifted following 2PM’s recent Tokyo Dome concerts in Japan.
The group held its “THE RETURN” concerts on May 9 and 10 at Tokyo Dome, celebrating the 15th anniversary of their Japanese debut. The shows attracted approximately 85,000 fans over two days, marking 2PM’s long-awaited return to the iconic venue after 10 years.

Tokyo Dome Photos Bring Back “Thai Prince” Nickname
After the concerts, backstage photos of Nichkhun quickly circulated online and stunned fans with his noticeably sharper visuals. His slim jawline, defined facial features, and smaller-looking face immediately reminded many fans of his peak idol-era appearance.
The contrast between his casual YouTube appearance and polished concert visuals sparked humorous reactions online, with comments such as “Never worry about celebrities,” “The true professional difference before and after work,” and “The Thai prince has returned.”
Nichkhun debuted with 2PM in 2008 under JYP Entertainment and quickly became one of the group’s most recognizable members thanks to his visuals and global popularity, especially across Thailand and Asia.
Meanwhile, 2PM is set to continue its “THE RETURN” concert series on August 8 and 9 at Inspire Arena in Incheon.
