Viral ‘Banderiya’ Moment Triggers Massive Fan Craze

One unexpected moment during the concerts quickly became a viral sensation online.

While greeting fans during a parade segment at the venue, V casually purchased and ate a Mexican-style corn dog known as a ‘banderiya.’

Fans rapidly spread videos of the moment across social media, sparking huge local interest. Mexican newspaper Excélsior reported that after V ate the snack, fans rushed to buy banderiyas themselves, calling the phenomenon the ‘V-Effect.

Long lines reportedly formed at food stands inside the stadium, while fan posts and reaction videos flooded social platforms throughout the concert weekend.

Beyond the viral food trend, V also drew praise for embracing Mexican culture throughout the visit. He prepared Spanish greetings for fans and recommended music by legendary Mexican artists including José José, Luis Miguel, and Natalia Lafourcade.

He additionally visited an exhibition dedicated to renowned Mexican architect Luis Barragán, further earning admiration from local audiences for his genuine interest in Mexican culture.
