BLACKPINK is entering another major solo chapter, with Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo preparing new music in rapid succession and turning the coming weeks into one of the group’s busiest stretches of individual releases.

Jennie will lead the run on Friday, Aug. 28, with her three-track digital EP Fallen Angel, followed by new music from Lisa and Jisoo in early September. Lisa is also preparing a new EP, PRESS PLAY, for October.

The tightly packed schedule is drawing attention from BLACKPINK fans worldwide as three members showcase their individual musical identities while remaining part of one of K-pop’s biggest global acts.

Jennie Opens the Solo Run With ‘Fallen Angel’

Jennie will release Fallen Angel worldwide at 1 p.m. KST on Aug. 28 through OA Entertainment.

The digital EP contains three tracks: “FALLEN ANGEL,” “HEAVEN” and “Less than a Lover.”

OA described the project as coming from a deeply personal place and representing Jennie’s self-expression. A music video for the title track is also scheduled for release alongside the EP.

The project follows Jennie’s 2025 solo album Ruby and comes during another strong period for her international career. Her collaboration with Tame Impala on a remix of “Dracula” has also performed strongly on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lisa is preparing “SaWaDiKa,” the first single from her upcoming six-track EP PRESS PLAY.

The project draws heavily on Lisa’s Thai roots and personal journey from Buriram to international stardom. PRESS PLAY is scheduled for release on Oct. 23.

Jisoo, meanwhile, is preparing “CLICK,” a new solo single scheduled for Sept. 4 and presented as the lead track from her forthcoming debut studio album.

The proximity of the announcements has created an unusually concentrated period of BLACKPINK solo activity, with international outlets highlighting the members’ near-simultaneous return to individual promotions.

Three Members, Three Solo Identities

The upcoming releases also underline how distinct the BLACKPINK members’ solo careers have become.

Jennie has increasingly explored pop and R&B through her own OA label, while Lisa has expanded her solo identity internationally while retaining strong connections to her Thai heritage. Jisoo has balanced music with a growing acting career.

Yet the three releases arriving so close together create an unusual dynamic: three globally recognized stars from the same group competing for attention on streaming platforms and social media within essentially the same release window.

Rather than signaling a retreat from BLACKPINK, however, the solo activity comes alongside the members’ continued work as a group.

For BLINKs, the immediate challenge may simply be keeping up.

With Jennie opening the run on Aug. 28 and Lisa and Jisoo following with new music, BLACKPINK’s solo season is about to get crowded.
