aespa’s ‘LEMONADE’ Sweeps Global Charts, Sets New Spotify Career High
aespa is enjoying another major global breakthrough as its latest title track “LEMONADE” continues to dominate music charts around the world.
The group’s second full-length album title track has emerged as one of the biggest K-pop releases of the year, extending its momentum beyond South Korea and into major international markets.
According to chart data, “LEMONADE” topped all three categories of Melon’s Global-K Chart, including the daily, weekly, and monthly rankings for May. The chart is jointly operated by South Korea’s Melon, China’s Tencent Music, and Japan’s LINE Music, making the achievement a significant indicator of the song’s cross-border popularity.
The track also reached No. 1 on Bugs’ real-time chart, further demonstrating its strong domestic performance.
Internationally, “LEMONADE” delivered aespa’s strongest Spotify Global Chart debut to date. The song entered the chart at No. 50 after recording more than 2.18 million streams, marking the highest first-day global chart placement of the group’s career.
The success continued across Asia as well. In Japan, aespa claimed No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart, while in China the group topped QQ Music’s Rising Chart and Popular Songs Chart. The album also earned QQ Music’s prestigious Diamond Album certification after surpassing 5 million yuan in sales revenue.
aespa’s second studio album, also titled LEMONADE, has been performing equally well worldwide. The release reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Album Charts in 19 regions and topped multiple digital album rankings across Tencent Music’s platforms, QQ Music, Kugou Music, LINE Music, and AWA.
Released on May 29, LEMONADE showcases aespa’s continued artistic evolution through a diverse collection of tracks spanning dance, rock, hyperpop, R&B, and pop-rock genres.
The album includes the title track “LEMONADE” alongside pre-release single “WDA (Whole Different Animal),” highlighting the group’s expanding musical range while further developing the unique universe that has become a defining part of aespa’s identity.
