KATSEYE Debuts at Coachella With ‘Golden’ Collab Stage

HYBE’s global girl group KATSEYE made a notable debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, delivering a collaborative stage that bridged K-pop and animation.

The group took to the Sahara Stage on April 11 (KST) in Indio, California, performing a 45-minute set that included both their original tracks and a special collaboration tied to Netflix content. The highlight of the performance came when KATSEYE presented a live rendition of “Golden,” the theme song from the Netflix animated film K-pop Demon Hunters.

Surprise collaboration connects virtual and real artists

During the performance, the real-life vocalists behind the film’s fictional girl group “Huntrix” made a surprise appearance on stage. Artists including Rei Ami, Audrey Nuna, and EJAE joined KATSEYE to perform “Golden,” creating a crossover moment between animation and live performance.

The song was reinterpreted in a slower arrangement, with both teams dividing vocal parts to build a cohesive stage. The collaboration drew attention for its concept, blending a fictional K-pop narrative with real-world performers in a major festival setting.

KATSEYE opened their set with their latest track “Pinky Up,” setting the tone for a performance that emphasized both vocal and stage presence. The group continued with songs such as “Internet Girl” and “Gabriela,” maintaining momentum throughout the set before closing their stage.
