Super Junior’s anniversary concert ended on a shocking note after an unexpected accident left fans injured during the final encore stage.
The incident occurred on April 5 at KSPO DOME in Seoul, where Super Junior was holding the final show of their “SUPER SHOW 10 SJ-CORE in SEOUL” concert. The three-day event marked the grand finale of their 20th debut anniversary world tour.
According to official statements from SM Entertainment, a safety fence installed near the side of the stage collapsed during the last encore song. As a result, three audience members fell and sustained injuries.
The injured fans were immediately transported to a hospital, where they received medical examinations and treatment. Doctors reportedly diagnosed them with minor injuries, including sprains and bruises, and recommended about two weeks of recovery.
SM Entertainment issued a formal apology, stating, “We deeply apologize to those who were injured and their families.” The company added that it will fully support the victims’ treatment and recovery, while also taking full responsibility for the incident.

The agency further emphasized that it will strengthen safety inspections and crowd management to prevent similar accidents in the future.
Fan-recorded videos from the scene quickly spread online, showing the moment when fans rushed toward the artist for closer interaction. As the crowd leaned against the temporary railing, the structure gave way, causing several people to fall.
Witnesses noted that warning signs had been placed advising fans not to lean on the temporary barrier. However, the excitement of the moment led to overcrowding in the area.
Despite the sudden accident, the artist reportedly acted quickly, calling for emergency responders and ensuring the injured fans received immediate attention. According to fans, the members also stayed nearby until the situation was under control.
The concert itself was meant to celebrate Super Junior’s 20th anniversary, concluding a global tour that spanned 17 cities across Asia and Latin America.
While the injuries were not severe, the incident has sparked conversations among fans about concert safety and crowd control at large-scale K-pop events.
